Committee’s Activities
Training Programs
Development and implementation of specialized training courses tailored to the priorities of member ports, covering key topics such as digitalization, energy transition, logistics, port management, and innovation. These programs are delivered through in-person sessions, with hybrid or online formats when appropriate.
Establishment of collaborations with universities, maritime academies, and specialized training centers to co-develop and deliver high-quality training programs, and to explore opportunities for certification and recognition.
Staff Exchange Programs
The program enables professionals from MEDPorts ports to participate in short-term exchanges, offering them the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, explore different port environments, and share knowledge with peers across the network.
Beyond technical learning, the Staff Exchange Program plays a crucial role in building people-to-people connections, encouraging mutual understanding, and reinforcing a shared Mediterranean identity.
By connecting professionals from both shores, the program contributes to developing a more integrated, skilled, and collaborative port community.
Junior Network
As part of its commitment to long-term capacity building, the committee supports the development of the MEDPorts Junior Network, an initiative dedicated to engaging young professionals across member ports.
